About Manhattan Beach Homes

Located just about twenty miles southwest of Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach is a prime
spot for residents, business owners and tourists. Like Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach,
Manhattan Beach lies in the South Bay as part of the Los Angeles area and enjoys the “small
town” secluded feel while being part of a large urban center. As a city on the beach, there are
plenty of attractions that range from an abundance of water sports to a 928-foot-long pier to
numerous eating and shopping establishments.

Manhattan Beach Activities

Visitors and residents of Manhattan Beach can surf, bodyboard, play volleyball, or sunbathe on the beach. They can also rollerblade, run, walk or bike the strand that hugs the beach and continues down to Redondo Beach and north to Malibu. Indoor climbing walls and aerial gyms are located within the city limits as well as a plethora of parks including Pollywog Park, site of many free summer concerts.

Manhattan Beach Business Centers

Abundant shopping including the Manhattan Village Mall and the main street business district along Manhattan Beach Boulevard, high-end restaurants throughout the city, movie studios, tech firms and boutique hotels make up the majority of the business side of Manhattan Beach. Residents don’t have to venture far for a good meal or high-end shopping.

Manhattan Beach homes surround Tuesday’s Manhattan Beach Farmers’ Market from Noon to 4 p.m. weekly.
