About Redondo Beach Homes
Redondo Beach is a classic Southern California beach community located between the Palos Verdes Peninsula and Hermosa Beach. Like the other South Bay beach communities, Redondo Beach enjoys the benefits of being part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area while retaining the feeling of a small suburban beach community. For the past few years the population has been steadily growing, which has resulted in an increase of employment and retail activity throughout the city.
Redondo Beach Activities
There are 15 parks and 13 smaller parks, a strand for walking, running biking and rollerblading, a waterfront featuring two miles of sandy beaches, the Redondo Beach Pier and King Harbor area, two libraries, five community centers and a 1,450 seat performing arts center. The twelve public schools in Redondo Beach are among the finest “distinguished schools” in the country. A variety of family events are held year-round throughout the City.
Redondo Beach Business Centers
Redondo Beach is divided into two sections of North and South Redondo Beach. In North Redondo, residents can enjoy a large business district anchored by the South Bay Galleria high-end department stores and name brand chain stores. Many family-owned businesses dot the landscape as well.
In South Redondo, a quaint shopping district called the Riviera Village is home to many small boutiques, restaurants, bars, day spas and salons.
Redondo Beach has two weekly certified Farmers’ Markets. On Tuesday mornings, residents can enjoy fresh produce, flowers and more at the market near the Redondo Beach Veterans Park Community Center and on Friday afternoons, Riviera Village has a certified Farmer’s Market on Avenue I and Catalina.
