Sales were down, but price per square foot was up over last year.

The number of houses sold on the Palos Verdes Peininsula for the 2nd quarter of 2014 went down 15% since last year’s largely because of the lack of properties for sale.

However, a bright spot is that the average sales price is up 12.5% from last year. Overall the price per square foot was $543 in 2014 which is an increase of 3.2% over last year during the same sales period.

Mortgage interest rates are back down again making it a great time to get into that new home you’ve been looking for at a low rate which alsom makes it a good time to sell with the low inventory.
